Working on editing this beast together

I've started editing for the main video, It's really really really raw right now and not in the best quality just to make it easier to work with. I spent most of the time cutting it into usable pieces and still I'm not done with that yet. I'll have more later on but I'll still bring what I have just so we can all talk more about it and stuff. I'm going to need a quick paced song for the football game. I have the idea of making the football section of the project more like a music video. I started cutting with the idea of putting a song like the Chili Pepper's version of "Higher Ground" behind it and it should turn out quite nicely. I do need any still shots that we have from the football game though.

Hutto Still Pictures Posted

All -

I have posted the still pictures from both events at the bottom of the blog in the links section. It is getting down to crunch time and we need to stay on top of things. Thanks to everyone for contributing. Please link any media that you have to this blog so we can all have access to the content. I am going to make sure to copy all of the pics and video I have on DVD to be ready for next monday.

Vetran's Day Info and Pics

From the HHS website:

"Hutto High School Honors our Nation's Veterans and the 1-4 ARB
Hutto High School will have it's Veteran's Day Celebration and Air Show on Tuesday, November 11th. The public is invited to attend an assembly in the Performing Arts Center at 10 AM on Tuesday morning. Guest Speakers will include Hutto Mayor Pro Tem Dave Begier, U.S. Congressman John Carter, and Lt. Colonel Brian Bennett, Commander of the 1-4 ARB (Attack Helicopter Battalion adopted by the Hutto Community). Last spring, the Hutto community adopted the 1st Battalion, 4th Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, a component of the Combat Aviation Brigade assigned to the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Hood. This unit is currently deployed in Iraq and we are privileged to have Lt. Colonel Bennett join us while he is here on leave.
The Air Show will begin at approximately 2:15 PM and vintage WWII planes, skydivers, and acrobatic airplanes are scheduled to fly over. Hutto High School will also have static displays with a re-enactment of a war encampment behind the softball field and a Hall of Honor in the main hall of the school building."

Vetran's Day Assembly

Hey gang,

FYI, I got some pretty good pics at the Vetran's Day Assembly in Hutto on Tuesday, so I think this wraps us up for events that we're going to document. I will upload those pics to a flash and send them to whoever needs them and also bring them to class on Monday.

James,
Please let me know if you'd like me to help you organize an "edit" meeting with the team or if there's anything else I can do that you know of.

Ideas and update on the photo op

I've posted some ideas under Old Time Day's comment but I thought I'll make a new post.

On Oct 24. We went to the camera op in Hutto. We did took some stills, interviewed Sg.Pauletto, Congressmen Carter and some other ppl.

I kinda visualized a lil on the 'storyline'.

First, we'll cue some great patriotic pictures (flags, soldiers marching) and music.

Second,a picture of city of Hutto's sign that says "population 1250" or something like that if I'm not mistaken. This is to show that there are a lot of patriotism in the small town.

Then, we put all footage/interviewed of events that we've covered and ends with the football game so that we'll show a lot of energy and enthusiasm from the ppl in Hutto.

Then, CG "Hutto supports our troops" follows by 1-4 ARB Attacks"
Okay! This is only the rough cut that I have got. Feel free to comment and suggest any ideas that you might have. Thanks
